Sweet baby Farrah being amazing for my last newborn session of 2021

Can we all say that we are excited that 2021 is over with? And 2020 haha. I will say though, even with all the bad that 2021 brought, it also brought a lot of good and growth for me. Ever since the beginning of my career, I set high goals for myself as a business owner and as a mom. Did I expect to achieve these fast? Of course not, however, I did expect to keep trying until they were obtained.

One of the biggest goals of mine was to gain more knowledge and experience with capturing newborns. I set standards very high for myself so that I can bring not only the best to my clients, but also provide a safe environment for them so that the new mama's (and dad's) cant be at ease during their newborn sessions knowing that I have been professionally trained in both newborn posing and safety. This actually was my personal preference before I ever handled newborns, because I didn't want to handle such little ones without proper education. With this being said, this past year I have continued to enroll myself in continuing education to not only provide new and exciting material to my sessions, but also provide on going education for safety for my little clients.

Okay, okay now I'm just rambling, but the best is next!

Moving into my newly renovated Liberty, Missouri studio!

Along side another photographer, I embarked a gorgeous little studio space in the downtown Liberty, Missouri square area that has been completely remodeled and renovated. It has been just a joy to have my clients see it and its an even bigger joy to have more room to bring a better experience to my clients during their sessions and gallery reveals. WAHOO!!!!

The last biggest thing and probably the most important was my goal to maintain a healthy lifestyle at home with my family while also having a successful business. Beforehand, I had no time with my family and children with packing in as many sessions as I could. Yes this was a blessing because who wouldn't want to have tons of sessions booked? BUT With this, comes less attention given to my family or myself. Lots of people dont realize how much time editing truly takes and year after year, it takes a toll on you. SO! a few changes have been made (this actually took place a few years ago) and it has been nothing but amazing. I not only provide my clients with a luxury experience from start to finish, but I am able to create long lasting relationships with all of them because Im able set aside the time to really understand what they want out of their session and complete the service with gorgeous heirloom products for them to cherish and pass down when the time is right.

As 2022 begins, there are several new personal goals to achieve and can't wait to share them with you as they bloom. Until then, thank you Kansas City for helping me succeed in something that means the world to me. I have been voted once again, one of Kansas City's top Newborn Photographers of not only 2021 but also 2022. I'm ready and fired up to see what this year can bring me!

Happy New year!!!

Yours truly,

Kim Churchman
