    Studio Newborn

Posed newborn sessions are done in my studio located in downtown Blue Springs. It is filled with tons of gorgeous props, wraps, bonnets, headbands and outfits that all help to create your custom newborn gallery.  Sit back and relax, while I create gorgeous images for you of your little one that will be cherished for years on end.  You will always be in sight of your little one during the session and I invite you to watch and enjoy the experience with me.
As I have learned throughout my own years of being a mom, I know that feeding myself was always put last so please know that I provide snacks and beverages for all of my newborn families to enjoy during their sessions.
Each newborn session will include several portrait setups uniquely design by me based on what we discuss. I also offer two packages that will include portraits of parents and sibling with your little one.

Questions you may have

When should I plan to book my newborn session?

Newborn sessions tend to book up faster, so I highly encourage booking after your first trimester.  This will ensure a date on my schedule as last minute bookings are not promised.

Newborn sessions are typically done within the first two weeks after birth, with the 10-14 day being the sweet spot (to avoid cluster feeding).  This allows for those sweet poses to be easily done, as they are still not as alert and are still flexible as they are in the womb. Since every birth story is different, I do NOT limit my newborn sessions to this time frame (however it is highly encouraged).  I have done newborns up to 4 weeks old with no problems at all. In fact, those have been some of my best babies! I'll never turn away a little one, but keep in mind that the older they are, the less likely they are to cooperate for specific poses so please plan ahead to get the most out of your session. (never promise any pose specifically for safety reasons. Even though I'm

good at getting babies calm and settled, some things are out of our control which may cause some poses to not

be safe to do.  In this case, I  always have other backup plans that are just as cute but safer for more

alert newborns)

Do I need to bring anything to the session?

My studio is full of gorgeous high quality props, wraps, bonnets, head bands and SO much more

that is specifically meant for newborn photography. You do not have to bring anything with you

except for babies source of food and the essentials that you'd take on a normal outing. If you

have something that you'd like to incorporate into your session, please let me know ahead of

time so that I may plan that into the setups.

What If my baby doesn't come when expected (early/late)?

When scheduling your newborn's session, a tentative date is setaround your due date.  Once your little one arrives, I just ask that you reach out to me as soon as possible so we can adjust the date if needed.  Every birth story is unique, so I try to be very flexible with all of my newborn sessions.  This just helps ease one more thing from your mind, so that you can have an enjoyable experience with your babies first portrait session.

Most importantly, please note that I have been professionally trained in both newborn safety and posing.  This is something that is always important to me and something I do not hold lightly. The studio is always sanitized and all fabrics are washed and stored away for the next client.  This ensures that extra step of safety for your little one as they are so precious and delicate.
I hope this will help to ease your mind when choosing me to photograph your sweet bundle of joy.
