Once in a while I'll get a session that just completely takes me out of my element and forces me to try new things. Usually, it is a bit scary but it always ends up being such a great experience. When her mom contacted me about doing her portraits, I was over the moon excited as she was also once my hair client from when I worked behind the chair as a hair dresser (yes, I am kind of a jack of all trades haha).

Once talking to Sareena herself, she mentioned that she really wanted to have portraits taken with a plane if possible because she was currently in flight school and that was a huge part of who she is. Immediately I thought, "There's no way I'll be able to make this happen, but I was going to try my best." After many calls later, I finally came into contact with someone that was able to provide his airplane and well, as you can see from the images below it turned out to be huge success! The part that was bit challenging to me was
well.... I've never shot with a prop of this magnitude before, but wow was it fun! From the super cute outfit she wore to the gorgeous sunset that we were blessed with, it really turned out to be so perfect. (Lees Summit, MO Senior Photographer).
In the end, both her and her mom were SO very grateful that we were able to fulfill her wishes. I was so happy that it all turned out perfect and am so incredibly happy with the results. The rest of her session was full of adventure as we did three different settings. Graffiti alley in the Crossroads district, Burr oak woods and Blue Springs Lake.
